Jeff is CEO of Family Resource Home Care with 8 locations across WA and ID. He serves on the National Board for the Home Care Association of America and has served for over 5 years on the WAHCA Board. He loves spending time with family, gourmet cooking, playing the piano, and watching movies. Jeff lives in Spokane with his wife and 5 children.

On the WAHCA team since 2014, Shawn’s passion for education has flourished providing education and resources for all home care companies. It has been an amazing opportunity to express her creativity, make lifelong friends and fulfill a personal mission to ultimately provide better care for seniors across the state of Washington.
Shawn enjoys the process of bringing resources and people together, creating relationships that give peace of mind to families and their loved ones. She loves gardening, art, cooking, camping, driving her CJ7 Jeep with the top off, riding horses and quality time with friends and family. Recently leaving With a Little Help after celebrating her 13th anniversary as Director of Business Development Shawn is taking a little time off to be with her family.

Home Care is a challenging industry and WAHCA makes it possible to work together on matters that improve the industry in terms of quality, operations, and reputation. I really appreciate what the organization does and would like to contribute to it. I have participated in the Policy Committee to help clarify rules and advocate for home care needs, and in the WAHCA Latte which provided a forum for discussion regarding topics that besiege the industry. I would like to apply for Treasurer.

Dexter is the owner of Interim HealthCare of Bellevue. Prior to being an agency owner, Dexter held roles in general management, strategy, and operations management in various companies and industries, including Amazon, Procter and Gamble, and Nextera Energy. Dexter joined the Home Care industry to bring his experience and knowledge towards an industry that serves the community. His hope is to form a company that will be a lasting legacy of helping those who need care when they need it.

Since that time, I have expanded my knowledge and experience and am continuing to look for ways to help others. I witness the benefits of in-home care daily and want to do whatever I can to support the success of the industry as a whole.

Kristen has always had a passion for helping people. Coming from the hospitality industry, her customer service skill set is incredibly important to her. Helping people is what she loves and she feels best when she is able to help clients and team members each day.

Sharla works closely with our lobbyist Leslie Emerick here in Washington and is our representative on the HCAOA National legislative calls. Sharla’s location to Olympia is prime and she will be able to testify on WAHCA’s behalf when Leslie needs her to.

Sharla has been a Registered Nurse for over 25 years with experience caring for critically ill patients in various ICU’s, along with multiple years as Nursing Manager, and in Risk management. She continues to enjoy visiting with her client’s in their homes and is also a second-generation owner with Advanced Health Care.

Position: Area Director
Trish McKinney started her career at Family Resource Home Care in 2005 as a Client Care Supervisor in their Seattle Branch. Over the course of the last 15 years, she moved from Client Care Supervisor to Seattle Branch Manager, Regional Manager and currently holds the role as Area Director, Puget Sound. Prior to working with Family Resource, she was employed at the Puget Sound Blood Center in their tissue donation department. Trish holds a MBA from Seattle Univ and a BA from Georgetown Univ.
